Why Stormproof uPVC Windows

When it comes to choosing windows for your home, the Stormproof casement window is the most popular throughout the UK as they tended to be the most weather (wind and rain) resistant. But now, with modern advancements, Flush casement can match the thermal efficiency of Stormprooof designs (in terms of U values).

The Stormproof windows feature a lip to stop the window sitting flush inside the frame; the sash actually sits proud of the frame, and the Stormproof option tends to be more weather resistant than the Flush Casement option.

They  suit virtually any property out there.  Two hinges hold the window in place and the windows always opens outwards. There are various styles associated with Stormproof windows;  top hung push out, side openers, tilt and turn or fixed. The style you choose really depends on your individual requirements

Both Stormproof and Flush Casement option  are both equally thermally efficient and secure.

Tilt and TurnStormproof uPVC Windows

Apart from the standard side and top openers for Casement windows, you can also opt for the Tilt & Turn option. They essential open inwards from the side and the top for versatility.

The Stormproof Tilt and Turn windows allow for super easy cleaning as they open inwards  so you can clean the glass without leaning out, whilst the tilt option provides ventilation without compromising on security. This makes a tilt and turn window a great practical choice for any home.

Our uPVC tilt and turn windows come in a beautiful range of colours including uPVC woodgrain finishes, which look like real wood, but without any of the maintenance issues.

The single colour frames have the same colour inside as outside. On our dual colour options the frame is white inside with a different colour outside.

These different options allow you to suit your interior decor on the inside and contrast against brickwork o stone colours on the outside.
