Flush Casement Timber Windows

Flush casement windows are so popular these days for homeowners but what exactly are flush casement windows?

It simply means that the window sash itself sits flush within the window frame and does not protrude outside the frame.

This typically is the only difference between a flush casement and a stormproof window. The sashes themselves sits inside the frame and there is typically a top and a bottom sash in a typical window and you can have both the top and bottom sashes opening or just the top or just the bottom.

Timber Options For Flush Casement Windows

All timber for our window and door product range is sourced from renewable forests, helping to protect the world’s natural resources. You can choose between rotless Accoya, hardwood Sapele, European Oak or European Redwood - each timber having its own character, features and benefits.

Accoya - Accoya is a high performance, modified rotless timber made from a sustainably sourced softwood. Its durability is labelled as ‘Class 1’, the highest level of durability for timber. The reason being is once treated in a very specific way. it acts harder than a hard wood.

Sapele - A common hardwood sourced from West Africa and the Cameroon, Sapele achieves a ‘Class 3’ durability classification, making it ‘very durable’ but not as durable as Accoya.

European Oak - European Oak features an attractive grain and we source this through an FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) This species has a ‘Class 2’ durability classification

European Redwood - Sourced as engineered laminated stock to improve durability, this species is a cost effective option for stylish new timber windows and doors but classified as a softwood, it is not as durable as Sapele, Accoya or European Oak.

Professional Design of Flush Casement Windows

To ensure you’re getting the best products, including our high performance wooden flush sash windows, our timber range of windows and doors are designed with sustainability and durability in mind. We have full control from start to finish to create beautiful timber products every time. The materials we use in our wooden windows offer exceptional performance due to a minimum 7” slope which ensures water runs off easily. Any moisture easily drains out due to the ventilation and drainage beads present in all bottom glazing rebates.

We only source timber with a low moisture content which prevents movement and micro porous paint ensures a high-quality finish while still letting the timber breathe; ensuring the longevity of our timber products. All the critical joints have a v-joint sealant which ensures further protection from moisture. Rest assured that when you work with us, our timber flush sash windows will perform highly and reliably for your customers.

Four Different Sash Options

Not only do we offer one of the broadest timber product ranges in the industry, we also provide aesthetic choices in terms of sash design. With four unique and innovative sash options, clients are able to meet specifications and choose a design that also meets their personal needs.

They all are based around the traditional timber design of ‘putty-line’ external and ‘ovolo’ internal mouldings. This ensures that you can pass on flexibility with our timber casement supply.

To further replicate the appearance of traditional timber windows, we can fit astragal bars and leaded glass.

We can match the leaded design to an existing pattern or provide a range of classic options such as the diamond style.
